[ On-Line Driver’s Education Classroom Course ]
Beginning December 1, 2011, Brookwood Community School offers On-Line Driver’s Education. This program complies with the classroom portion of "Joshua’s Law" as set forward by the Georgia Department of Drivers’ Services. "Joshua’s Law" requires driver’s at the age of 15 with a learner’s permit to take a 30 classroom hour course in preparation to obtain their license.
The cost for the classroom portion is $65.
Upon completion of the 30 hour class you will receive a certificate showing that you have completed the classroom portion required under "Joshua’s Law".
NOTE: Registration for this on-line program or any on-line program in the state does not qualify for insurance reduction. The 30 hour classroom course combined with the 6 hour driving course at the same Driver Education school does qualify for insurance reduction. You will be able to upgrade your on-line certificate for the full Driver’s Education certificate when you have finished your 6 hours of driving. The driving hours are done by appointment and scheduled through the Community School office (770-978-5064). A student can purchase "behind the wheel driver training" in 3 hour blocks with a prepayment of $140/per block. Two blocks will need to be purchased to fulfill the 6 hour driving course. Please call the Community School office if you have any questions.
